Damage to Water Filtration Plant
Donetsk Filtration Station
June 1, 2018
The Donetsk Filtration Station in Ukraine is regularly attacked by pro-Russian militants. UNICEF reported on May 18, 2018 that the filter station which supplies water to 345,000 people in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, stopped due to damage from shelling.
The images above show damage inflicted to the Filtration Station as a result of shelling in 2017. The hole in the roof of the small building was created in early 2017; and the damage persisted for many months. The roof still hasn't been fully patched as of June 2018.
